The certificate of trademark registration can be renewal many times consecutively, each renewal in 10 years.

To renew the effect of Certificate, within 06 months before the date of invalid Certificate, the owner of Certificate have to apply the Request for renewal to Department of Intellectual Property.

The Request for renewal can apply later than the time limit stipulated above but not higher than 06 months from the date of invalid Certificate. The owner of Certificate have to pay for renewal fee in addition to 10 percent of renewal fee for each late payment month.

The application for request of renewal the Certificate’s effect includes:

1. The written declaration for request of renewal patent, follows the Form 02 - GHVB stipulated in Appendix C - Circular 01/2007/TT-BKHCN;

2. The original Certificate of trademark registration (in case, the owner requests to  acknowledge the renewal in the Certificate of trademark registration);

3. The authorized letter (in case filing the application by the representative);

4. Receipt of renewal fee, public the decision of renewal and register the decision of renewal Certification according to the Law.
